The Real Origin of Dwarves

     This is a picture of a reconstructed Neanderthal Man....

     See?  He looks just like a dwarf.

     There has been some speculation about whether or not Cro-Magnons interbred with Neanderthals.  Some people think that Cro-Magnons raped Neanderthals.

     Some people think there are traces of Neanderthal DNA within some humans.

     Neanderthals seem to have been cave-dwellers, thus the spoken word mythology of dwarves began, about creatures with mines under the Earth.

     Meanwhile, J.R.R. Tolkien kind of based his dwarves on wandering Jewish people, combining it with other speculations he had about dwarves.
